The agent has backed the presidential candidate's
claims that the Catalan club would have an advantage in signing the
22-year-old if he is voted in on Saturday
Mino Raiola has said that Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba will have "a big chance" of joining Barcelona if Joan Laporta wins the Catalan side's upcoming presidential elections.Laporta, who presided over the Camp Nou club from 2003 to 2010, is one of the favourites alongside Josep Maria Bartomeu to win Saturday's vote.
Barca have already seen an €80 million (£55.7m) bid rejected for the France international, but Laporta has already insisted that if he is reinstated as the club's president it would give them an advantage in attracting the 22-year-old.
And the player's agent has backed the 52-year-old's claims, adding that Barca's initial attempts to strike a deal with the Turin club through directors Ariedo Braida and Alberto Soler was "silly" and a mere "political" ploy.
"Pogba has a big chance of going to Barcelona [if Laporta wins]," he told EFE.
"Alberto Soler doesn't know Pogba. The trip to Turin seemed political, they were there to take a photograph. It was a very strange journey. Silly.
"Paul and I were not even in Turin."
