According to reports, Chelsea are on a verge of signing Stoke City goalkeeper and Manchester United target Asmir Begovic in a £16m deal, according to the Daily Star.
This story, along with a report in the Daily Express that Aston Villa shot-stopper Shay Given is having a medical with Stoke today, suggests that Begovic will be heading to Stamford Bridge this summer to replace the departing Petr Cech.
United were also monitoring the Stoke city goalkeeper, which makes sense given the Daily Mirror‘s story today that Real Madrid are still keened on signing Red Devils ‘keeper David de Gea this summer.
